I am a 43 year old mother of 3. I have always been fit and satisfied with my weight up until the last couple of years. Seems like after each child I just kept putting on weight. I weigh more now than I did each time I was pregnant. One day I was walking down the steps at my home and I noticed my knees kinda hurt and I weighed myself and the scales were at 204; I was shocked. I did not think I weighed that much! I knew then it was time to do something. I really want to lose down to about 160. I want to do it for my health so that I can be around for my children. I am lucky so far because I did not develop any high blood, diabetes, or any other health risks that are sometimes associated with being overweight. I always think about losing weight but I cannot stick with anything too long. I have been a member of Sparkpeople for well over a year and have never particpated or so much as logged back in. The other day while checking my email I had gotten an email from a Spark so I actually logged back on and decided to try and stick with it. I am mainly here for support and motivation in reaching my goals. I am going to try to stay strong and stick it out this time. Good luck to all!!!

My name is Jackie and I am from North Carolina. I am a teacher assistant and a bus driver.

Other Information:
I LOVE music. I listen to all kinds. I especially like the oldies. Some of my favorite artists are George Strait, Rod Stewart, Otis Redding, Lifehouse, Maroon 5, Tim Mcgraw and that's just to name a few. I also like to read; I really have no favorites there because I read just about anything. My favorite shows are the Young and the Restless, The Tudors, Entourage, Big Love, Grey's Anatomy, Desperate Housewives, The Mentalist, and King of the Hill. As far as movies if it is interesting I will watch it.
