About 8 months ago, I found Spark People. I thought I was ready to make a huge change but, well, I was wrong. I was ready to get ready.
In the last 8 months, I have gained another 3 pounds. But I have gained much more than that...I have gained clarity, inner peace and joy. To say that I am transformed is an understatement. Now, let's see how it goes.

Fitness Minutes: 7,706

My Goals:
1. to be able to walk up a set of stairs without getting winded
2. fit into my size 10's
3. to know how to make healthy choices and to follow through with those choices
4. to be a great influence on my clients

My Program:
1. doing at least 60 minutes of cardio 6 times a week
2. strength training/yoga 3x a week
3. eat a raw/vegetarian diet

Personal Information:
I am a massage therapist. Many people think that massage therapists just make people feel good. However, we are also trained in helping people get and stay healthy.
Recently, I told a client that she needed to do certain exercises to help her muscles that had atrophied. Session after session she came back and had not done what I suggested. In the meantime, I sent her to a chiropractor. She also told this client to do the same exercises I suggested, so she did. I asked her why she did it after the chiropractor told her to and not when I told her to. She said it was because the chiropractor looks like she works out.

Other Information:
I have recently become a vegetarian. The weight has come off easier since I made this change. I have more energy and I feel better.
