Mary don't feel shame! I think the biggest problem with regaining weight is that sense of failure, I know that is, no-no was my problem.

I would like to be the first to welcome you back to the US, although Tanzenia would be very interesting. The work that you and your husband do, unfortunately is so necessary in our big neglected world.
What is it that you are doing to loose weight? I may have some suggestions for you. My problem is that I can tell everyone else what to do for healthy weightloss, but the hardest thing is taking my own advise.

Welcome to Spark. I can't actually say that I know very much abt arthritis. I had more of it in my 20's then I do now. But I can say you are definitely not alone. My friend's daughter takes steroid shots & she watches her diet & exercise & is very trim. But more importantly my sis-in-law has a very rare form of arthritis that leaves her w/104' fevers. She takes steroids & is very very trim. Her measurements are probably 44", 24", 32". She was hit by a drunk driver. Broke nearly every bone in her bod. Was not supposed to walk again. That was 18yrs ago. She got up & raised her fam. They say the arthritis (called Stylls' Disease) has nothing to do w/her accident. That's kinda hard to believe.

Anywho, welcome to spark. sp is a very good program & we're a very supportive team.
