Right now we are in Balboa in a beach house that has been in my friend's husband's family since his grandfather bought the land for $1000 in the late 1920's and then put a house kit together on it. Later, during the depression, he managed to scrape together the money to buy the land next door for $600. He put a cabana on that one. Now worth so many many times more but having it for the whole family to share and take turns with is worth so much more to them than the money. I went down to the beach this morning and enjoyed it about 6:30 to 7;30 when not hardly any people out except a couple of different people walking heir dogs. So awesome for this girl from the desert areas and have only seen the ocean about 5 times counting 2 this morning ha ha. Later we walked the dogs on the and there. I do see so many people riding plain bikes (where I came from it was mostly multi speed mountain bikes) and wish that my balance was so much better and I could ride one. But since I had a stroke I have a lot of problems with balance. 2484 days ago

I've been in Orange, CA in Orange County. We're going to Newport Beach today though until the middle of next week. Someone in Tom's family owns a beach house that everyone in Tom's family take turns with. I understand it was originally built many many years ago by Tom's father who has now been gone for a long time and left to Tom and his siblings. Hope you have a great trip! 2485 days ago
