Let's face it--The skinny, good-looking ones get all the great jobs. I'm not about to let 100lbs keep me from landing my dream job, going to graduate school, and making a difference in the world! Oh, and I want to look good in my wedding dress too!

I've been overweight for the majority of my 21 years... But, it was a gradual weight gain up until my senior year of high school... when broke my ankle and foot (feel down a stair case). I've gained an average of 17.5lbs a year since. Life has been so busy since I started college... my bad eating habits and sedentary lifestyle just got worse and worse by the semester... But I'm stopping that right now! TODAY!

All I want to feel able to be myself in public again... At home I'm confident and outgoing. Witty... sarcastic... But whenever I go out into public, I feel like a monster... an outsider who isn't thin enough or pretty enough to make friends, to go do girlie things, or to have a good time. I just want to be at a healthy weight, with beautiful curves--not pounds of fat. I want to feel like I belong--that I deserve to go shopping for that designer outfit, to get that manicure, to own those fancy shoes, to be that smiley faced girl.

I know I can be fierce and beautiful, inside and out. That's why I'm starting my new life today. It's going to be a long, difficult journey, but I must do it! For my health! For my sanity! For my confidence! For my pride!

"If it is to be, it is up to me."

Ultimate Goal: Lose 120lbs by Graduation by losing 2lbs a week. Yay for healthy weight loss!

My Goals:
To look and feel good walking across that stage at graduation. To fit into my dream wedding dress. To wear the latest fashions without shame or hiding my body. To wear those killer heels without out being in pain! To be fierce! To be bold! To be me! To love myself again!

Ultimate Goal: Lose 120lbs by Graduation by losing 2lbs a week.


My Program:
I plan on doing the following:
-Eating whole grains, fruits, veggies, lean proteins
-Keeping a food and exercise journal
-Drinking water and protein shakes
-30 minutes strength training every other day
-30 minutes of cardio a day
-Taking the stairs and parking in the back of the lot



Personal Information:
I'm a student at UNCW and I'm studying interpersonal communication. I'm learning all about relationships and conflict management. I'm planning on going to graduate school next year. (Hopefully UNC). I work at a hotel at Wrightsville Beach--so I get to see the ocean almost everyday. I'm dating a wonderful man named Bryan and we've been together for 3 years, but have been friends for much longer than that.


Other Information:
I love my Pekingese! I love Family Guy and The Simpsons and Scrubs... but other than that, I don't watch that much television... It's such a waste of time! I love drawing and outdoor activities... One day I hope to build a house out in the middle of the woods... old time style! Everything handmade...

    A great big Hello. I have to tell you I was not really here for a little over a month. But I have got my head back into this and already am seeing results. I have learned this is a long haul and we need to really get our heads into it. So I had a struggle, but I got through it and going again.
