A lot has changed since last time I was here. I am now a published author. My book, "The Road to Healing" came out a couple months ago and my next book, "Losing Weight without Hunger; the secret to permanent weight loss" will be available in a couple of weeks. At last, I found something that works and have lost 60 pounds so far and am continuing to lose slowly. This has become a way of life so I am confident that I will not gain it back. Life is great!

Update: I have now published my third book, "Fibromyalgia for Families and Friends"

My Goals:
I want to get down to a healthy weight, which for me is 150 to 160 pounds.

I started my own practice, House Calls, to provide holistic healthcare in patient's homes. I hoped to help others lose weight and get healthier too! Unfortunately my own health got in the way so I had to retire. Now I need to find a way to be more active with out making my fibromyalgia flare.


My Program:
In the past I have tried various kinds of products/programs that required me to buy or use something other than regular food. I lost weight but afterwards would gain back more than I lost. This time I am using real food. This is a permanent change so I don't want to lose fast, I want to slowly change my body to healthy and lean. Even when I succumb to junk food on occasion, I just go back to eating normally. I am really not all that hungry or having a lot of food cravings.



Personal Information:
I've recently retired from being a nurse practitioner. We put the farm up for sale and moved into a motor home.

    Hi there, you had asked about how to retrieve a recipe from SP when you were tracking your food. I recently found a recipe for vegetable chicken soup and commented on it after making it. It showed up on my food tracker under "recipes" as a 'reviewed recipe'. Since it made a lot and I froze some, I'll be able to count it whenever I eat it. Maybe reviewing a recipe would keep it in your tracker. Hope this helps. Good luck on your journey!
