Thanks for the blog love about the snow. We did not get as much as Des Moines. The last I saw for them was 7"!! We still have snow on the grass this morning but the streets seem clear.

Thanks for the blog love on getting the loom threaded. This loom requires a bit of stretch since I cannot sit inside the loom like I do with the other one. I have to sit close with my legs to the sides (like I am riding an elephant or a draft horse) and lean in. So I only thread three - four inches at a time.

Thanks for the blog love about the homeschoolers. It was an intense 90 minutes but fun! I was surprised that all the kids wanted to keep their little bit of fleece. I did find a piece out on the grounds later on that must have come out of someone's pocket.

Thanks for the blog love. The first photo is of a portable Kate. Sometimes called Lazy Kate. Kates hold bobbins of single-ply yarn so that one can make a two-ply yarn by pulling one strand from each bobbin. This Kate actually holds three bobbins (but I am only using two spots) and when it is not in use the spikes pull out and store in the base and it is a very nice compact piece of equipment.

The second photo is the full bobbin, on the spinning wheel, of the two-ply yarn. I am quite chuffed at how the yarn is turning out!
