Introduction Text As of 3 Jan 2011, I put on about 20 of the 30 or so pounds I lost over the last year. I'm back to re-commit myself to the process and I have some lofty goals for this year. Aside from just losing weight, I'm training for the 2011 Air Force Marathon in September! About me: I'm currently serving in the US Air Force as a Master Sergeant at Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska. My duties as the Commandant of the Airman Leadership School keep me very busy during the day, and my family (wife and 2 boys, 6 and 11 y/o) keep me hopping the rest of the time. I also have a 16 y/o daughter who lives in Texas. I'm an active Cub Scout leade, parent and electronics/computer geek. I've been a SparkPeople member for over 3 years, but my activity was very sporadic. I would be here for a few months, actively working, then I would overcome by events and fall off the track. But, I'm back again, and this time, my motivation is a bit different. I'm here to make the long-term lifestyle changes that will lead to lasting fitness and better health. I'm probably healthier than I have ever been, considering I quit smoking over 2.5 years ago, but the extra 25 or 30 lbs I'm carrying are slowing me down, limiting my ability to perform at my potential best, so I'm gonna drop them and in the process, set the right example for my children (as a father) and my Airmen (as a Senior NCO).

Running 30-35 minutes, 5 days a week, monitoring my nutrition and keeping in the range of 1200-1500 calories.



Team Leader for the Offutt Sparkers Team. My goal is to build a network of SparkPeople members associated with Offutt AFB who can support and motivate each other.
