Time to update this page. I joined 1-10 with the usual goals of losing weight and taking back control of my life in this one area. Well, I weigh more now then I did in January. I wont get on the scale for fear of having a heart attack after seeing the number. :)
Well, I am not giving up. The resolve to win this battle is inside of me; I just have to find it. The stories and pictures on Sparkpeople are very inspiring and one of the reasons I refuse to give up.
I will redefine my goals for 2011 soon and will post them here at that time.

Thanks for the comment on my blog. I do need to take it easy on my races for the next several month to make sure I am well healed, I pushed too hard last summer and kept running thru the injuries. Once healthy I probably will push some.
Thanks for checking out our video, it has been truly an amazing journey for the two of us, we love the new lifestyle that Spark has taught us.
Best of luck with you goal and on you next half marathon. The couch to 5k running program is great to get you running for the full 5k and keeping you injury free .The Rookie Running group team is very supportive and full of information for you running questions if you are looking to join another team.
The best advice I can give you about running that it is all about the shoes, go to a specialty running store to get fitted, they will watch you walk/jog then fit you. (one of the best ways to stay injury free)

Thank you for your comments on my blog about heart health. One of the important lessons I learned from Dan's life and subsequent death is that it is important to know your health risk factors. Also, it is important to live my life with a passion and fullness. Dan died doing what he loved, he was a runner, he wasn't sitting around feeling sorry for himself because of his high cholesterol. His family feels blessed that he was on a high, loving life and otherwise healthy on the day that he died. Live a passionate, healthy life.
