I'm a survivor of domestic violence... it is what it is, I cannot change that but I can and will do my best each day to get to the best future possible for me & my family.

Over the past years I have went through some major changes in my life. I set out on a journey quite some time ago to become the healthiest me that I could possibly be not only for myself but for my entire group of family and friends that we may be Blessed with as many days as possible healthily together.

Many times I wonder why I still check in with Sparkpeople because I am not able to follow so many of the plans on this site that I would love to be able to participate in... then I find someone else going through similar situations and though we're not able to get up and do a whole body workout along with those videos we're still doing a little at a time, step by step heading in the best direction we can be physically, mentally, and spiritually. I have well learned that the size of our bodies, our weight, is only a small, very small part of who we really are and everyone has something to offer someone else out there if only we take the time to share. I have found a few hero's here on the site, on days I've truly felt like just totally giving up and throwing in the towel there always comes along someone to help me change that bad attitude and get back on the proper mental track knowing that this isn't the worst case scenario and no matter what any of us face in life there is always hope and faith that there will be better days in store for us along our journey in this world.

I know there are a great variety of situations in this world. Not a one of us knows for certain what is in store along our path of life. Everything can change in the blink of an eye, as I and many others have learned first hand this life is a blessing we must do our best to share and keep on going no matter what we're facing each day.

I've learned it's ok to go through the 'feeling sorry' stages, when we face disappointments in our life it's natural to deal with them and we each do them in our own way.. the key is not to dwell upon them but to learn from them, pick up the pieces and move on focusing on what we are still able to do and sharing with others that face situations that anything is possible and they too can thrive in their lives, we are survivors not prisoners of our situations!

I have alot more to say, but that's where these great teams and forums come in on this site, to share with as many as possible, learning and reaching our goals together. A group here to support each other no matter what we're facing, to bounce ideas off of and to climb as high as we can each individually climb and to be happy for each other when those personal goals are met :)

I know I am Blessed to be here, another day alive, another day to thrive. I am thankful for all my supporters and encouragers along this journey.

My Goals:
My goals are to not only learn how to get healthy and stay healthy but to actually do it and follow through and make this a life style change for myself and my children as well that we may be the healthiest we can possibly be.

My Program:
I'm taking my life one day at a time, looking for the positives and pushing away the negatives when they creep into my thought patterns. I know there are many better days in store for myself as well as everyone else that is truly wanting to find those better days for themselves as well.

Personal Information:
I survived, I am alive, now I will thrive!

I have a spinal cord injury, it does not have me. I have learned how to do almost everything I was able to do prior to my mobility limitations. I use a manual wheelchair to navigate now that the good dr calls me a paraplegic... I don't care for labels much but it is what it is.

I learned from my past and earning for my future!

Other Information:
Hidden blessings are upon us everywhere if only we take time to see them :)
