One Day At A Time
I'm Lauren, I'm 30 years old and I've gotten fat. Now I'm trying to avoid getting any fatter.
I'm doing my best to take each day as it comes, slowly, and am trying to get myself back into healthy routines and patterns.
I have recently re-discovered my love for hiking and since May of 2012 have been working on counting calories again and preparing meals with my health in mind, rather than *just* my tastebuds.
My goal is to usher in the Summer season ...

I'm doing my best to take each day as it comes, slowly, and am trying to get myself back into healthy routines and patterns.
I have recently re-discovered my love for hiking and since May of 2012 have been working on counting calories again and preparing meals with my health in mind, rather than *just* my tastebuds.
My goal is to usher in the Summer season feeling better about my health and wellness as well as being in better physical shape !

My Goals:
-To loose 25 pounds by December! Huzzah!
-To stop scowling each time I look at myself nekked in the mirror.
My Program:
-Attempting to eat sensibly while making sure that I don't go overboard (i.e. not eating enough all day and then over-eating at dinner time).
-Counting my calories and adding in at least 10 minutes of cardio each day or a walk on my lunch break.
-Cooking at least ONE of my main meals each day or making sure I pack a healthy lunch that includes a protein rich staple and a low calorie, high protein snack for around 3:00 PM when I usually get the hungry tummy grumbles.
Personal Information:
-Living in Marin County, California in the greater North Bay.
-Working full time for a veterinary hospital and enjoying almost every gosh darn moment of it!
-When I'm not on the clock I enjoy:
Painting, tooling around with my camera in hand, enjoying our awesome coastline (Stinson beach, Bolinas and The Marin Headlands are a few of my favorite places to spend a day getting sandy and freckled), cooking with and for friends and family, farmers market shopping, thrift-store extravaganzas, retail therapy, record playing, dancing in the grocery store, sun bathing & cosmetics.
