Hello from MEDFORD, OREGON. My first look at SPARK was Sept 2012 and I've been getting healthier ever since. It's been a slow but steady journey while managing both health and self challenges, but I've come a long way with the help of my SPARK PLAN and SPARK FRIENDs. I've become more self motivated and more self accepting. I'm taking more risks and I've learned to be more assertive in my own beliefs in order to be more successful in my new way of life.

put one cup of Hersheys dark chocolate coco powder in a sauce pan with 2 cups of unsweetened almond milk. add a bit of vanilla and enough stevia to sweeten.... boil and start to thicken it and add one tablespoon of cornstarch to thicken more. then pour into a pam butter sprayed 9 X 4 pan. put in freezer. When frozen and craving a bit of chocolate break off a piece.

My Goals:
My goal is to be the best me I can be for GOD, my family and myself.

To achieve that I will do more for me. I will take risks, accept change and reach out. I will eat less C.R.A.P. and more whole foods. I will move more, more often and with feeling.



My Program:
My program involves: tracking my moves with a FITBIT Zip and my nutrition with SPARK, running with PODRunner and learning to try new exercise moves.

I don't believe in FAD DIETS and don't like pills or medications.

I believe everything is good - in moderation - so nothing is totally off limits.

I generally follow a 80/20 plan for a healthier lifestyle-- 80-90% of the time I'm focused on healthy nutrition and ways so that 10-20% of the time I can enjoy life without worrying about numbers. (Life happens and this way I don't have any guilt over it.

Residing in Medford, Oregon.

Born in Kansas and raised all over -- to include Maryland, Pennsylvania, Georgia, Washington and Germany

I'm a US Army veteran and served most of my time in South Korea.

I love my family -- to include 1 husband and 1 cat, 2 children and 3 grandchildren. I love to craft and learn new types of crafts (yarn and thread types mostly, but I also have an interest in paper and children crafts). I work in a high stress, ever changing environment. I want to get into better shape so I can keep up with the wee ones.

    We use Salt Sense which has 33% less sodium for foods I have to salt and Bob uses NU-SALT for extra salt taste ( no sodium in it ). I don't use any salt at all whenever possible, but some foods just have to have a little.
