I've been overweight for a long time. I have struggled with Binge Eating Disorder for several years, which has contributed to my weight gain. I'm married to a wonderful man who loves me, and I want to be around for him as long as possible. The only way to do that is to take back my health. Update, May 2017: I have now lost over 70 lbs (with the interruption of a pregnancy in between)! I am loving the changes in my body and in my physical abilities. I can keep up with my husband on our walks and hikes with no problem, and it is amazing. 113 lbs to go, but I so proud of how far I have come!

My Goals:
My long term goal at this point is to be able to get down to 200 lbs by June of 2018. Then I will reevalute.

Short term goals are to lose 5-10 lbs a month if possible, and continue on my healthy eating and exercise plans.

One thing I would love to do is be able to make the hike to the castles in Heidelberg and Idar-Oberstein (Germany) without stopping or quitting. I attempted Idar-Oberstein with my husband in June, and I only got to the church in the rock- couldn't go any further. My endurance has skyrocketed since then, but I think I have a long way to go!

My Program:
I overhauled my diet when I got married to match what my husband eats. He's fit and healthy, so I figured it's a good example to follow! I have a protein shake in the morning, a bar or something similar for lunch, and a normal dinner.

For workouts, I'm currently doing strength training once or twice a week, and cardio approximately 3 times a week. I'm working on increasing both this year. I think I'm ready for it.

Personal Information:
I got married in May to the most amazing guy. I'm busy learning how to be a wife and learning about the military community I'm now a part of. I've never really had a lot of time to focus on my body and my health, but now I do, and it's been wonderful!
