Time for a heart healthy diet!
Hi! My name is Lisa, I'm 28 years old and have had 3 kids in the last 4 years. Our oldest was diagnosed with a congenital heart defect this summer and just had open heart surgery in September. He will always be prone to heart disease and high blood pressure, so we are changing our diet and lifestyle to establish healthy habits early in his life, and for our own health as well. I also have a lot of baby weight to lose, so I have joined the gym and am trying to find time to get there!

By the way - the pic currently up is of me the day before I got married - 6 years ago! I'll add a "before" pic tomorrow when I do my weigh in.

My Goals:
I would like to get back to my pre-1st-child weight, 124. I want to get to my goal weight by my 30th birthday, so I can have my tummy tuck for a birthday present! By then I will be done breastfeeding and will have had enough time to get somewhat close to my goal weight.
My Program:
I joined the gym a couple of months ago, but only went a few times before everything started going on with DS's heart, but tomorrow I have made arrangments for the kids so I can go again! We have also started changing our diet, I cook more whole grains, like rice and oatmeal (not together!) and making my own bread again. We also stopped eating pizza and most things with cheese, and lowered our salt intake. It's a start. Our goal is to be mostly vegan by this time next year.
