After spending the last several years battling a heart attack, a total hip replacement, uterine cancer, losing my job and having to find a new one, major depression and binge eating I think life is finally beginning to turn around. I think the main thing I have learned through this is summed up in the Galaxy Quest tag line, "Never give up. Never give in." God has been with me through all these ordeals and I have managed to come out a little better than I when I started through each one. I jokingly tell my friends that maybe I'll get it together by the time I'm 65 (I ‘m 60 now). However I'm definitely trying to get my weight and health back into line before then. My goal is to be a healthy weight and physically fit by October 2019 and then to keep it that way!

My Goals:
1. Get down to 158 by March 2016
2. Increase my strength, endurance and flexibility.


My Program:
1. Track my calories in and calories burned; Aim for 800-1000 calorie deficit per day,
2. Cardio for at least 40 minutes 5X's per week and Strength training at least 3X's per week.



Personal Information:
I'm an empty nester. My son graduated from law school 2013 and married in May 2014 to a wonderful girl. I work as a RN in ICU and in my free time I love to play computer games, read, watch movies, and knit.


Other Information:
I love watching movies and procedural crime shows like NCIS and Sherlock. I also like to read, knit, and crochet. I'm going to try and learn to speak Polish as my new daughter's family is originally from Poland and also get certified in critical care.

    emoticon Hello! We are two peas in a pod. I like computer games and watching crime shows and movies too. I like to read, but I am not a fast reader because I have to stop and process what I have just read. (I read mostly Christian empowerment books for women, but I have a lot of different kinds of books to read.) Only once did I finish a novel in a day. Anyway, I am here on your page encouraging you to exercise for the Easter Bunny Challenge. I did the breast stroke move from my computer chair for over a minute and felt the burn. I think that is a goal for me. Try something new until I feel the burn. Otherwise, I don't put my whole heart into it. I have been cleaning, so I have gone up and down the stairs at least 30 times a day. Today I am going to count for sure. I know that I have made my legs so much stronger. It is not a struggle to go up and down anymore. Well, get going now. Hop to it. Let's feel the burn. emoticon
