I am restarting for the Nth time, my journey to get healthy & fit. Lost screen name, forgot email of old account. Brand New Slate.
In 2007, I lost 85 pounds on Weight Watchers, and using SparkPeople. Right after I met my personal goal of being 150 pounds, things in my life combusted. I gained it all back, plus more, within a year.

In 2007, I lost 85 pounds on Weight Watchers, and using SparkPeople. Right after I met my personal goal of being 150 pounds, things in my life combusted. I gained it all back, plus more, within a year.
I've half heartedly tried a few times since, but never stuck with it. I did keep a few good habits. I drink lots of water, most days at least a gallon. I've given up soda, for the most part. I do enjoy flavored seltzer.
Of course, being 55, things have changed drastically from when I was 40. Kids are grown. Caring for an elderly parent. COVID quarantine isn't helping.
I'm going to be a grandm.. *ick* a GiGi, hopefully, for the first time in March.
I want to be able to run and chase him. I want to be able to take him for walks in the park, amusement parks, zoos, museums, without my knees and back screaming.

My Goals:
Work on 10% at a time
1/20/21 - Week 3. Add "traditional" exercise. Resistance bands. Dancing. Walking videos. Walking outside.
2/10/21 - Week 6 - See above. Add exercise!
4/2/21 - Week 15. Spring has sprung. Now, I need to spring into action!
My Program:
I remember my Weight Watchers program. I always said it was similar to SP. It's about eating healthy and exercising. While I'm not doing WW this time, I'm going to focus on everything in moderation. I don't believe in denying yourself. Just don't pig out, or overindulge.
It's a lifestyle, NOT a diet. If I'm expecting to keep it off long term, I need to be able to eat what I want. So, Monday-Thursday is a strict sticking to good, wholesome, healthy foods. Friday to Sunday, I can indulge in a few joys. A drink (or more), cookies, cake, burger, pizza, etc.
Personal Information:
55, married, two adult sons. Youngest giving me my first grandbaby in March.
Caring for my 91 year old father who has lung cancer. He's not "sick" now, but.. he's a stubborn and independent old cuss. And, well, trying to do things for him, while he's refusing the assistance, and allowing him to be as independent as he can, is.. interesting/frustrating. Often amusing to friends. *le sigh*
An extremely sedentary lifestyle... read lazy. Covid doesn't help.
