    HI !! TY For writing!! At first it was NOT easy to not drink. Have you been to AA? For many it works, to see we are not alone in what it is we went thru/go thru on a daily basis. Most find it very helpful (I am one of the few who did not, but I am always an ODD DUCK!) but, I had so much to LOSE if I continued to drink. My GD was 6 or 7 at the time, I did NOT want her to see me as I was, but rather to do as we got to do, spend a TON of time, giggling, loving and me being the adult I needed to be. There was just to MUCH to lose.

    Wine? YUMMY, but!! Other things are too. Is there something you enjoy drinking as a favorite? Nightly I now have a hot chocolate, with fluff (I live in Maine, if you aren't from the New England area of the US, that may not be familiar to you,,, ) because it helps me to relax just simply sipping it.

    I find it BEST even now if it pops into my silly head "Oh a drink would be good right now" to QUICKLY and AT ONCE DISMISS that thought. Instead to get up from sitting (if I am sitting ,, it's usually at that time that I struggled the worse when I was first getting sober or at night which was my prime time drinking) and do something. ANYTHING!! Cleaning, walking, cooking, take a shower, just to get busy. If my GD was over, I'd grab a game, or sit near her and have her show me what it was she was doing (once she was 11,, and I didn't struggle as much at that time, but still now and then) on the laptop she had (I had my own computer) but kids find the most interesting and often funny things!! We'd sit for hours laughing at the videos on youtube about a snowman. DISTRACTIONS are a Wonderful tool.

    Do you have someone who you can relate to in this? Is there a certain trigger for you?

    Since you are good at teaching, is it the ages of the kids you are working with? The parents (A TRUE NIGHTMARE nowadays!) ,the school you are at?

    Your skills are transferable in other jobs. Do you have the skills to work in HR? Kids, adults, all have human traits (LOL sometimes I WONDER!! LOL). If you enjoy teaching, and it IS FUN, would teaching adults be more fun? Do you happen to live in area of multi cultures? Does that seem more appealing? Or perhaps with adults who have learning issues, memory issues? Maybe helping adults learn skills ,,, or be a life coach?

    Or change things around totally!! Hey until we put our foot in the grave (and it stays there LOLOL) its FUN to make changes!! I've been working with the elderly and I LOVE It, but my car isn't passing inspections, so I can changing from the elderly (was a senior companion) to working with elementary kids. its something I had originally wanted to do. I LOVE the organization I work for ,,they are very, very supportive, encouraging.
