Introduction Text I'm a 45 year old military wife. I'm also a firefighter and an EMT. I've always been active, including a black belt in tae kwon do and enjoying just about any sport or activity that let me be outdoors. After I hit 40, the pounds started piling on. Then I broke my arm lifting a patient and the doctors didn't have an explanation as to why. I didn't have osteoporosis or anything that would explain it. It ended my career as a paramedic. I still love being active and fit and I hate how I look and feel now. I'm a stranger in my own body! I need to find the discipline I once had and not lose sight of my goal of being fabulous and forty (or fifty!).
