Happy Friday! We have arrived at the end of another week, and this one seemed to literally fly on by due to the shorter week!

Now that places and things are beginning to open up again, my husband and I have decided to getaway for about a week, and it's been quite awhile since we've taken any kind of a vacation. We haven't decided exactly where to go, but I'm open to suggestions.
I thought it might help with your suggestions if I share with you some of the places I've already been . . .

I've been to a lot of places, but I've never been in Cahoots. Apparently, you can't go alone. You have to be in Cahoots with someone.

I've never been in Cognito either. I hear that nobody recognizes you there.

I have, however, been in Sane. They don't have an airport. You have to be driven there. Thanks to some of my extended family and friends, I have been there several times.

I would like to go to Conclusions, but you have to do a lot of jumping, and I've never had enough stamina for that much exercise, and at my age, my knees just can't take it anymore.

I have also been in Doubt. That is a sad place to go, and I try not to visit there very often.

I have been in Flexible, but only when it has been very important to stand firm.

Sometimes I'm in Capable, and I've been going there more often as I'm getting older.

One of my favorite places to be is in Suspense! It really gets the adrenalin flowing and pumps up the old heart! At my age, I need all the stimuli I can get!

And, sometimes I think I am in Vincible, but life frequently shows me I am not.

People keep telling me I’m in Denial, but I’m positive I’ve never been there before.

So far, I haven’t been in Continent. But my travel agent says I’ll be going soon, and very frequently. I'm not looking forward to it because it can get very wet and damp there.

I've been in Deepdoodoo quite a bit. The more adventurous I get, the easier it is to end up there.

emoticon J – Joy blooms where minds and hearts are open.
emoticon U - Unlock the door to your fears and unleash more joy in your life.
emoticon N – Notice and appreciate the beauty of all that surrounds you.
emoticon E - Encourage more joy in your life through mindfulness.

Welcome to this new month of June.

What brings you joy? We all have different things that trigger thoughts and feelings of happiness or joy. What is most important in being able to find and feel the happiness or joy in our lives is being present to recognize it in the moment. Mindfulness. By doing this, you turn off all the extraneous stuff that is distracting, and constantly vying for your attention.

Why not open yourself up to your happiness and joy? Let's use this new month of June to consciously be mindful and present. Let's be willing to open ourselves up to all the happiness our heart can hold! Actively seek out the things that bring you pleasure, happiness, peace, contentment, or better yet - pure joy. Allow life to bring you the spontaneity it has been waiting to give to you. As they come to you, and you begin to notice them, and absorb them into your heart and soul, thankfully allow yourself to sit and soak in the sunshine of each of those moments so lovingly sent to refuel your body, mind, spirit, and soul.

Have a good week and an even better month!

In honor of this Memorial Day weekend, here’s a little military humor:

You would think that being a submarine captain would pay well - but I hear they can't keep their heads above water.

Trench warfare should always be a last ditch effort.

Paratroopers pull strings to stay on the job.

When the sailor failed to report for duty, he really missed the boat.

The soldier who survived mustard gas and pepper spray is now a seasoned veteran.

Where do rabbits learn to fly?
    In the hare force.

One Sunday morning, the minister noticed a little boy staring up at the large plaque that hung in the foyer of the church. It was covered with names, and small American flags were mounted on either side of it.

The seven-year old had been staring at the plaque for some time, so the minister walked up, stood beside the boy, and said quietly, "Good morning, son."
"Good morning, Father," replied the young man, still focused on the plaque.
"Father Scott, what is this?" the young boy asked.
"Well, son, it's a memorial to all the young men and women who died in the service." Soberly, they stood together, staring at the large plaque.
The small boy's voice was barely audible when he asked, "Which service, the 9:45 or the 11:15?"

Please remember to display your flag this weekend in memory of those who gave their all!

Hi sweet-teas! Sip, sip hooray - it's finally Friday! I'm stopping by to add a little sugar and sweetness to your Friday morning.

Since I did the coffee giggles last week, I did not want you tea drinkers to feel neglected, or left out.
Honest-tea, I do drink tea, but in its iced form, because it refreshes me and gives me a feeling of sereni-tea.
My DH drinks tea, and his favorite is tea is 50 shades of Earl Grey.
So what do you say . . it's time for us to have our own little tea par-tea!

I have to say, that I think these jokes are definitely koala-tea!

What kind of tea is hard to swallow?
    Reality

What does a tea bag do when it's tired?
    It seeps.

How does the Earl Grey tea bag greet his wife every morning?
Oh Darjeeling, you are so brew-ti-ful!

I think all politicians should be required to drink tea so they could have more honest-tea.

    What's a teapot's favorite folk song?
    O My Darjeeling Clementine.

    Tea Time:

A father was giving his wife some much needed "me time" to go out and run some errands. When he asked his toddler daughter what she wanted to do, she told him that she wanted to have a tea party. He sat down at the small table and she brought him a cup of "tea" which of course, was just a cup of water. He lovingly complimented her on how delicious the tea was, and how much he was enjoying it. She kept asking if he'd like some more - to which he kept replying "Yes please."

After they had shared several cups of tea, along with some small talk, his wife walked in the back door. He asked her to come into the room where he and his daughter were seated, and to sit down to see what his "Little Princess" had been doing since she left just because he thought it was so darned cute!

Pretty soon the little girl came gingerly walking down the hall again with a cup of tea for Daddy, and placed it down on the table in front of him. She was smiling so proudly as her daddy politely picked up the cup, with his little pinky in the air, and elaborately sipped his tea.

When he finished the cup of tea, his daughter asked if he would like some more to which he again replied "Yes please.". She picked up his cup, and left to refill it again.

His wife looked at him, and then very calmly and quietly said, "You do realize the only place she can reach the water is in the toilet, right?"

    And finally before I go . . .

Today's Thought: Remember the tea kettle . . .Even while up to its neck in hot water - it still continues to sing.

Each of you is my just my cuppa tea, and I love each one of you so matcha.

Thanks for regularly stopping by my page with your notes, quotes, support and encouragement.

I hope you have a tea-riffic Friday and weekend!

It's Motivational Monday! Welcome to Motivational May - the first full week of the new month.

After a very long winter, spring has officially arrived. Mother Nature leads the way in showing us that Spring is the natural time of growth and renewal. Yes, after winter's heavy coating of slumber and solitude, it seems that our spirits awaken as well. There is an exciting vibration in the air, and that stirs our senses and beckons us to come outsiide. The desire to become more active, to take action on new projects or things in our lives, and create change in our lives spurs us from our cozy cacoon.

M – Momentum is cumulative - so keep yours going.
O – Opportunities are awaiting your discovery. Be mindful to see them.
T – Today is what is important. Stay focused.
    V –
    A – A stumble may prevent a future fall.
T – Turn your wounds into wisdom.
I – If you bite it, be sure to track it.
O – Open your mind to new possibilities.Opportunities
N – Ninety-nine percent of success is built on failure.
A – Always do your best because that is all you can do.
L – Laughter is the fireworks of the soul.

M – Minute by minute you can win it!
A – Accomplishments are found in the journey – not the destination.
Y - You are in control of your progress to meet your goals.

Why not schedule some time each day to sit quietly and ask "yourself" for help in letting go of these things that have been holding you back to allow more room in your life for new things to arrive? As you let go of these things, feelings, along with emotions that are literally "holding you hostage", you open the front door to the universe to usher in something better for you. Think of it just as you do about looking forward to opening your windows and letting in all the fresh spring air to get rid of all the "stuffiness of winter" in your house - a breath of fresh air into your life!

Let's get our motivation going by opening up the windows to the sweet, gentle breezes of opportunity and positivity, and let all of that fresh air in! Take a deep breath and feel the energy flow into your being.

I hope you have a wonderful May!
