yes. you. can.
I joined Spark Feb. 08. I liked to work out and knew a little about nutrition. Using Spark's tracker helped me lose 5 pounds. I was in the best shape of my life and happy with how I looked. I've always been curvy and I just figured that was the size I'd always be.

I made a decision to change the direction of that story. I learned a lot more about nutrition. I eat whole foods and listen to my body. I don't believe that all calories are created equal.
More important than that number on the scale is the fact that I FEEL better than I ever have. I am enjoying life day to day. I am active with my family.
With the help of my husband I have become a runner. It's something the 4 of us do together. We call it "happy family time." It's something I do alone and call it "free therapy." I meet girlfriends for a run instead of happy hour. I run with my dad, something that had been a silent dream since watching him run marathons as a child.
2012 is about the love of running. That indescribable feeling. The miles. The training. The unknown: the marathon!
And now it's 2013. I know the marathon and I love running even more. This year will be about more miles and speed! weeeee!!
It feels good to surprise yourself. I'm doing things in my 30s that I used to watch other people do. We are so much stronger than we think.
