I've struggled with my weight my entire life . . . and now I am seriously ready to make a change. No more emotional eating. I have two young children who I need to show how to eat healthy and live well. You can also follow my family blog at http://comptonfamily.blogspot.com -- its called Utter Chaos, because life is so chaotic. Which is what making this whole journey so much more challenging. And important!

My progress:
Starting weight after my daughter was born: 220.
Goals that have been met:
#1: 206-Pre-pregnancy weight with Summer (met 2/10/09)
(Mini goal-under 200! 3/24/09)
#2: 196--Pre-pregnancy weight with Garrett (met 4/7/09)
#3: 180 -- Goodbye Freshman 15, hello high school me :-)
#4: 169 - Out of the 170s!!! 4/6/10. I can't ever remember being in the 160s, and I wouldn't have ever thought it possible! 50lbs lost.

Upcoming goals:
Down to the last 20!!!
#5: 159
#6: 150-final goal? We'll have to see!

-Run a half marathon distance-Done 5/2010!
-Do a few more triathlons, baby!

Weightloss:
Get out of the 170s! -Done! My new goal is my "ideal" weight of 150, in time for our child-free vacation in September!


My Program:
I'm addicting to running and beating up my workout partner (or a heavy bag, in lieu of an actual person) during a fun kickboxing workout. I'm trying to eat clean and stay away from processed foods. Balancing life is always an issue for me, so I reward myself weekly with a few new music downloads for meeting all of my goals every week.

    Hello m'dear! Thanks for checking in on me... having SP friends like you keeps me motivated. I have been MIA lately because I am (*drum roll please*) pregnant!!!! I was staying away because I wasn't ready to reveal the news and had a coworker/friend who is here on SP. She knows now, and is keeping it a secret as the rest of my work world doesn't need to know at the moment. :P I hope you are doing well, and I promise to check in on a more frequent basis. SP is supposed to help keep us healthy, not just skinny, right? Best wishes.

    I originally bought flax seed, then read that, unless you actually grind it, it doesn't really do you much good...so I use my food processor to coursely grind it for bread (really good in pizza crust) and use the purchased flax meal for my smoothies. Have to keep it refrigerated tho...guess it goes rancid quickly...at least that's what I've read...who knows?!
