This has been a very different summer. For me 5 days in Wisconsin as the reigning AZ State TOPS Queen
is wonderful. Such a great time to meet with others in their journey to better health.
************David our oldest grandson was in Phoenix Childrens Hospital for 7 weeks and he never spent a night alone. Either Ron, Kacee his mom, Doug his dad or me would sleep on the couch beside his bed. 3 weeks into the ordeal Kacee's pregnancy with (now 4 week old) Kristopher came to an emergency c-section. So needless to say we are and have been busy
***************Tomorrow ends our 2 week camping vacation here in Thousand Trails Verde Valley anyd we will be headed home.

(Here is a clip from a blog that goes along with the picture of me in the pool.

Clip from the blog of Faye Ewbanks!!!

"I would head to the pool for some Billie Jo water aerobics. One morning I met Tina who has now been joining me every morning! Tina just happens to be the Arizona State TOPS Queen 2010!! I was thrilled to meet such a celebrity!! Tina told me that in 2010 she had weighed over 300 pounds. With help from TOPS, and proper diet and life style changes, she was able to lose 135 pounds!! Thus winning the title of Queen!! Amazing!! Congratulations Tina!!"

My KOPS journey started Dec. 21, 2010...............after 4 years I hit my KOPS goal of 168 that was 135 pounds off.

I am so thankful for Spark People and all the support. The journey from the 300 pounds to where I am today has not been easy. I had to constantly remind myself
that no excuse would keep me from pursuing the goal of gettiong to healthy.

Never too "old" not wait like I did at 59 years of age ...........start now............don't wait...........take the first step.

Never too "fat" not wait like I did....... I ended up at 305 and was diagnosed with a blood clot in my leg and spent a week in the hospital Nov. 2006. Then I knew I had to change...I took the first step. Please take the first step.

Never too many "meds" not say..." I can't.....I have too many meds that keep me from losing" not buy the lie.....I was with 19 prescription meds. If it was a problem....I did not let it be my problem. I would move more or eat less. I could find a way to not let it be a problem. So you decide to take the first step........find a way that any med you take will not be a problem. Take that step....even if it is the is the first step in the rest of your life.

Too tired to exercise...........???? I did not want to exercise when I was 300 pounds...well....start with the first step...move intentionally and deliberately. You can do it. Every step will make a difference.

Now is the first step of my journey to my " next" goal weight. I am not satisfied with 168 and I want my next goal weight to be 155............I will take the step, I will eat healthier, I will move more deliberately, I will find ways to add movement to my day.....I am now gluten intolerant and so I will find ways to learn to eat more unprocessed foods, more organic produce, free range chickens, etc.

In April I will be turning 64 and I want to look forward to an even healthier life, body and energy to share and help others. So if you are waiting and thinking you are too old, or too fat, or too many not wait. Do it now , do it today and you will never regret it.

Thanks Spark People, TOPS, and all my friends and family I am so appreciative

It It is summer and I am still losing!!! Woo Hoo.

Remember we are never too old or never too fat to change and we can do it!!!!

I am not posting my ticker until after 12/31/2010....under the advisement of one of my trusted advisors. It may be throwing my motivation off. I am on this journey to get healthier. Weight is just one measurement.

Just know I am making progress and I will try to post a new picute everytime I get my hair every six weeks.

My Program:
New as of 1/2010 I am now down closer to goal. It has been a 3 year journey so far, but that is fine. I still eat less and move more. I am headed to my goal and I will get there. Woo Hoo.

OLD EDITED 1/2010 I started my weight loss journey January 2007. I weighed 305. I found Spark People from Woman's World in January 2008 I now weigh 228.5 . During the 2007 year I started with a CPAP machine which helped me sleep better. I started Byetta which helped my blood sugar control and assisted me in losing weight. I rejoined TOPS which gives me the weekly accountability at the weigh in's.
This year I am so happy to add Spark People to my program, a new recumbent bike for Christmas, and the continuing help of my family and church friends I will meet my goal Lord willing. Amen.
