I'm one of the many people that can say I've had weight problems my whole life. I remember being probably 9 or 10 years old and hearing my dad say something to one of his friends about me being "chubby". I ate what my mom fed me and was never told no when I wanted to eat 10 cookies and drink several cans of coke every day. Every single dinner that was cooked for me when I was a child had something fried. I can blame someone else for my weight when I was a child but I'm 33 years old now and can only blame myself.
Weight Watchers has been a huge part of my life in the past several years. It's taught me the right way to eat and that exercise is necessary. That helped me get down to my lowest weight of 168 pounds. Then I got pregnant in 2009 (with the best baby boy in the world!) and gained back up to 230 pounds. With Weight Watchers, tons of workout videos, a treadmill and now, a stationary bike, I've gotten back down to 175 pounds. Whew! It's taken me over 2 years to lose 55 pounds...not as quickly as I would have liked to have lost it but hey...55 pounds is GONE! Doesn't matter how long it took to come off. It's off. My goal weight is 145. If I should decide to lose more once I hit that, then I will. I've learned that everything I do is mental. Every time I say "I'm tired! I don't want to work out!", I know that it's just my brain...I know that if I tell my brain to shut up and tell my butt to get in gear, I'll do that workout and I'll feel much better for it.
