Numbers Won't Define Me
My Spark journey began in July of 2009. I went on a 50 pound journey only to find I left some luggage behind. So I had to take the long trip back and I'm making the journey again. I'd like to reach my destination. I strive every single day to reach out to others, which only furthers my own success. I believe that there is strength in numbers, and by supporting each other we are supporting ourselves as well. If you ever need a supportive word, you know where to find me!

My Goals:
My goal is to lose weight so that I will live longer and be happier. My goal is to look and feel better and to have more confidence. My goal is to be able to wear a smaller size and fit into more fashionable clothing. My goal is to feel happier when I look in the mirror and feel less self-conscious. My goal is to actually swim again (a/k/a - wear a bathing suit). My goal is to lower my blood pressure, improve my cholesterol, be less at risk to develop type 2 diabetes. My goal is to get off medication, and hopefully stay off of them. My goal is to feel better physically, have more stamina and energy and feel more optimistic. My goal is to make a better impression on people and feel less inhibited about my body. My goal is to love myself, feel worthy, and be less self-critical. My goal is to feel as if I've accomplished something, to do more things in public and to feel more comfortable eating in front of others. My goal is to have more control over my destiny.
My Program:
I will never use the four-letter word that starts with "D" and ends with "T" and has an "I" and an "E" in the middle. I am going to monitor my food daily and log it in. I am going to make exercise a routine. I am going to blog on a REGULAR basis by challenging myself. I am going to reach out to people for support, and provide support where I can. I am going to follow the Beck Diet Solution.
Personal Information:
I am from Connecticut where I work in the insurance industry full-time, and at a paper craft store part-time. With kids at college, my husband and I have six furry pets to devote our attention to . . . our dogs Samantha, Buzz, Lola and Charlie, and our cats Jennyanydots and Lucy.
Other Information:
I love to scrapbook, sew, quilt, crochet, read, surf the net . . . love Spark and Facebook . . . and I've been known to watch some television as well for my down time.
