    Hi and welcome to the Walk Away The Pounds team. I just love the walking tapes because they allow me to get a nice workout even when the weather does not permit it. I have worked up to the 5-mile advanced workout and have lost 33 pounds so far. I think consistency is the answer. I have stalled a few times, but if I just keep doing my program, the pounds continue to come off, so do the inches! So, keep up the good work. Cynthia

    Oh, goody, I found you at last! Your Spark Page looks wonderful.
    Yes, those are Colorado's Pike's Peak from Colorado Springs. I took those pictures when I went to my grand daughter's high school graduation inMay of 2007. Her parents are military and were stationed there at the time.
    You will see that I have added you to my friends list on my Spark Page. In this way we can keep in touch as often as we like.
    The first secret about loosing weight is that your body needs food. If you deprive it of food the body gets smart and begin to hold on to what you put in because it figures out that this is all that it is going to get. So you must give it a guessing game as to how much you are going to give it, and when it becomes comfortable with the fact that this is not all it will get every day, then your body will start using again and therefore you can loose some weight. Never eat the same things over and over (like your salads) emoticon , give your body a shock from time to time, like maybe a McDonald cheeseburger, a small side salad and a cup of their ice cream. I know this sounds comical but you may be surprise at what is happening with the body. When you get your SP meal plan, you will see that you have a calorie range to stay within, never under 1200 calories per day. You will notice that one day your meal may consist of 1215 calories, the next day it may be 1357, the next-1253 or it may go to your high range on occasion.
    All of this is to keep your body guessing.
    I use Splenda in everything that calls for sugar. I even got my husband off of sugar to splenda. He doesn't think of using sugar any more.
    Did you go to the huddle for Emotional Eater on yesterday? I said "Hi, Gloria" or something to that effect! I did not see where you had huddled when I was there. Well in any event we can communicate on our Spark Pages as often as we want to!
    You are off to a very good start, just work out your eating habits and be patient because the weight will move. This is a life time ride that we are on to be healthy.
