    Thanks for your comment on the blog about my brother's amputations. He is doing really well, healing well, and with really good spirits. He was even able to joke around a little about prosthetics (being able to choose his new height or getting hydrolics so that he could easily change light bulbs). Thanks again for your concern.     My friend LONGWINDINGROAD and I are actually going to be doing the Flying Pig half as out FIRST half marathon! I'm super excited to do it. I was even more exited when she found that there was a spark team for it! It's always nice to talk to people who have run it before, and you are a serious motivator! I've done a bunch of 5Ks, 10Ks, and 5mile races, but I'm ready to step it up and run my first half! Do you have any suggestions for a good half training schedule??

    Thanks for the encouragement and support. You are healing and I like the strategy and goal for alternative exercises besides running. 4.1 miles is very good. You will increase in time. Please do not rush it. All is well. emoticon emoticon emoticon
