Hey Carol....wow...did not realize it's been so many days since I last wrote you 835 to be exact...but don't feel bad I have been away from sparkpeople for even longer...now I might let myself be more active like once a week or so but not every day...I have finally found some things that are working for me to loose wt..and some old ones...my best focus has been on getting down before my daughters wedding which is tomorrow..yeah..it's here and i'm 38 lbs lighter..but I don't want to stay at this wt..already looking for a good pair of 34's..Enough about me..how are you doing?..you are on my motivational mind even though I have been away....have you been well..what are some new things that r motivating you these days...well I got to g o for now..walk the dog...you know...then tomorrow walk my daughter down the isle...that is scarry..but I'm going to be there for her...take care and don't forget to write me soon..missed you..rico 1279 days ago

This sounds VERY encouraging. I am also 51 and I have struggled with weight ALL OF MY LIFE. I lost about 30 lbs on my own with lots of diet and exercise but having a HARD time keeping it off. I've actually gained a lot back. I exercise regularly, around 6 times a week for an hour and I eat relatively well, mainly vegetarian seldom chips, junk food, drinks (other than water and fresh juices). My metabolism is sluggish and I have an underacting Thyroid. I would love to partner with you to see what you did to lose so much. I weight 208 at the moment. 1891 days ago
