I'm not unhealthily overweight, but have tended to eat compulsively, especially when busy and stressed as a way to try and get some pleasure & give myself a break. Whilst I've managed not to put on a lot of weight, it was creeping up, and I was feeling out of control, so I did some research in the summer into compulsive eating and how to change this habit. I found Renee Stephen's inside out weight loss podcasts. Through listening to these, I am learning to find other more positive ways of dealing with stress and to relax, so I can feel more balanced in my life. I really love Renee's holistic approach, and it is definitely helping me.

I thought I would use Spark People as my weight release and success journal, as it provides an easy way of logging things in one place, as well as finding motivation from others.

Fitness Minutes: 6,921

My Goals:
* to increase hill fitness by July 2014 for trekking trip to India

*to get back to a size that I feel happier and more confident at - loose an inch from my waist and around 2 from my hips/thighs

My Program:

* aiming to eat 4 moderate meals a day

*matching portion size to appetite

*Enjoying and appreciating what I eat

* I mostly eat whole food & vegetarian food

*I ideally eat mostly vegan and raw food - but I am just leaning this practice at the moment

Live in Suffolk, UK. with hubby, dog and some housemates. Nice village quite near woods & heath side. Love being outdoors: riding my bike, simming, walking or running with the dog. And love being inside: coffee and cake with friends, log fire, dancing, making stuff, laptop.
