55 years old and would like to obtain better health, look and feel better. Past weight loss attempts have failed, but I'm sticking to it this time. My first goal is to lose 30 pounds, once that goal is reached, I will set another goal .... baby steps.

My Goals:
Lose 30 pounds and some inches. My goal is to be healthier for myself and for my family.
My Program:
I have begun exercising 3 or 4 times a week at the gym. Drinking 8 glasses of water per day and staying conscious of what I am eating.
Personal Information:
I am from Niagara Falls, 50-something, mother of 3 wonderful children (27, 22, 19), and grandma to one beautiful little girl. Grew up as one of those skinny kids who could eat anything, and have blossomed into THIS!
Other Information:
Believing is Achieving!
You are more than what the mirror dictates and more than what your medical record thinks you are. Be the change that you want to see in the world.(Mahatma Ghandi)

Short-term goal is to lose 5 pounds by 10/1/07 -
I DID IT!!!
Next goal - 155 by Thanksgiving.
Spend 5 minutes in each room of my house per day.

Welcome to the short person group! I am doing the same. I've set my first goal for 20 pounds and then 20 each 3 months. I am going to be down around 130 by next march :-) Good luck on your goals!
