Hello! Heather here! I'm a 26 year old gal from Indiana. I've had weight issues ever since junior high school (even though at the time I was not overweight), but in high school my weight slowly crept up to 160lbs. I'm 5ft6 tall, so that weight put me with a BMI of 25.8, which is considered overweight.

After high school I gradually lost weight about the rate of about 10lbs a year (without diet or exercise) and I weighed 130lbs by the age of 21. I maintained that weight for about a year and a half, but crept up to 140lbs the summer I was 23. That summer I joined the gym with the intent on losing 10lbs by my December wedding. I started off slowly with jogging/walking intervals, elliptical training and some strength training. On my wedding day I weighed in at 129 pounds!

I was in the best physical shape of my life at age 24. My walking had turned into running, and I was running anywhere from 25-40miles a week. I kept strength training as well and I felt very strong. I could eat just about anything I wanted without gaining weight due to my fitness and metabolism. I wasn't quite content with my body then, but looking back--I'd LOVE to look that way again!

Once I turned 25 it seemed as though my metabolism slowed down despite my regular workouts that primarily consisted of running. I slowly gained 5lbs that year and then 13 pounds the next year! By January 2007 I weighed 148lbs--my highest weight since 2000!

I can honestly say that I love to exercise/run, and it has become a part of my lifestyle. I try to run at LEAST 25miles a week these days but sometimes my schedule does not allow it. I struggle with my eating and have several characteristics of compulsive overeating, so as you may imagine, it is difficult for me to lose and maintain weight.

I decided to join SparkPeople to track my eating habits, which at times are completely ATROCIOUS, log my workouts, and have a support system. I am striving to get back down under 130lbs and be in the shape I was in three years ago.

**Fit back into all my clothes

**Get my 1-mile time down to 6:30 (it's at 6:49 as of 4/26)

**Be more confident with my body

**To feel fit and lean again.

My Program:
~Consume 1300-1700 calories a day, depending on activity.

~Drink at least 80oz of water daily.

~Cardio at least 5x a week, for at least 50minutes each session.

~Interval train twice weekly.

~Run at least 25 miles each week.

~Strength train 4x a week @ 20-30mins a session

~Take a Daily Multivitamin
