I set off to change myself for myself. I began with walking and learning about portion control. I have really changed my life especially in regard to fitness and healthier eating. I had an image in my head that real runners wore spandex and had beautiful bodies. It was my first race (5K) that changed my mind. The old, young, fat, thin and everyone in between was running and their efforts were cheered on by total strangers. Each time I run is a reminder that taking care of myself is important- physically and mentally.

You inspired me to try the treadmill again today after I refused to use it for the last 9 months or so! It was great and no cold winter winds!
I'm sure you're going to do really well in the marathon!!!
