It's TIME!!!!

Time for what??? Time for CHANGE! And is that a scary word!

Life has an uncanny way of not standing still! When we think it is.

Oh - I still have the same goals I had - I still want to adopt, for instance - but am having to think about when, where and how I can. Other goals have changed - and yet, even others are new.

But even some I've had for a while I think about in a different way from when I originally joined Spark People - such as weight loss. I still want to lose weight - but now I'm more interested in inches and measurements and reducing my size overall so I can fit back into a size 14 - which I haven't done in more years than I really care to think about!

I'm also interested in toning up my body - and building muscle where mine have collapsed - and actually treating this body right for a change!

Hopefully I won't make negative statements about myself (negativity tends to breed negativity!), nor do I really want to promise to blog daily (I DO have another blog currently - which I use for my quilts, etc. - and which I will list as soon as I figure out how!) - but I DO want to blog here as well - and do so as my sometimes blog - sort of a personal journal as I meander/walk through/make a determined stride through weight change and body and mind toning.

My Goals:
OVERALL GOALS......

1. Beginning and staying with exercise program - Yoga as well as Strength and Cardio
2. Conquering Mount Paperwork!!!
3. Studying my own designed program
4. Substitute Teaching 3 days a week
5. Quilting all my flimsies and making flimsies from my stash!

INTERIM GOALS
1. Yoga - 3 routines
2. Cardio exercises added on REGULAR basis.
3. Strength exercises added on REGULAR basis.
4. Lose weight down to 170 pounds
5. Conquering the SNACK attack at night! (and any other time as well!)
6. Complete - quilting and binding - 2 quilts for each NEW quilt I do!


My Program:
THIS Week:

01. Aim for 175 pounds.

02. Tracking Food – Track your food for the week.

03. Wellness camp and 30 day camp.

04. Biggest Loser group - Pink Panthers!

05. Work on studies - stay current!

06. Stay hydrated - but NO MORE than 96 oz water (potassium deficiency problems!) and EAT BANANAS!

07. snacks - Morning, afternoon, evening - make a plan and stick to it! - cut out morning snacks! Afternoon comes from part of lunch.

08. Set specific times for exercise and USE the alarm clock!

09. Consider rewards - use stickers!!!! And overall rewards (haven't figured out what yet!)

10. Go for toning up and measurement loss in preference to pounds (although that too!)

11. Yoga - as soon as I'm out of bed (and cat is medicated). Follow immediately with strength moves (10 minutes) if applicable!

12. Cardio daily (except Sat!) no later than 6 PM. And, yes, intensive housework counts!

Other Information:
I'm a granny! LOVE my grandson dearly! I enjoy raising children and have been a foster mom and hope to be an adoptive mom to several. The kids who came and stayed awhile have had multiple challenges, including emotional challenges.

I'm a Bonnie Hunter mystery quilt addict - and proud of it!

Overall I've been sewing up a storm (quilts) and am learning to do the final quilting. And I have the UFOs galore to prove it!

Books - I like to read - and read just about anything that has the printed word!

Music - I also am a lover of classical music, but thoroughly enjoy Jazz and non-western music - or music from other cultures.

Gardening - I LOVE to go through catalogs, choose seeds - don't love to pay for them - but DO love to choose them - and dream about how much produce, etc. I will reap. NOT crazy about the weeding - and REALLY don't like hot sweaty days - the ones when all the produce in the world decides to ripen at the same time! LOL

    The flowers and blossoms are filling the air with the smells of Spring. This is the time to start preparing for the Summer. Are you ready to join a Challenge? The Biggest Loser Challenge is looking for members for it’s next Challenge starting the first week of June. The challenge consists of 11 Teams, that participate in 10 weeks of Nutritional and Fitness Challenges. These challenges can be modified to fit individual needs, allowing members of all abilities and dietary needs to participate.
