I never thought that I would be able to lose this weight but since coming to this site you all have encouraged me through your inspirational stories to keep at it.

Through all of this hard work it's starting to show results in different ways. My skin is not as dry because I drink my required amounts of water a day, in fact, my hair is even looking more healthier. I work out on an epiletical trainer at least 3 times aweek for 10 minutes just because the weather outside isn't so great. I can't wait until spring so I can walk every day.

It's really hard when people try to sabotage you on eating right they bring out all the no-no foods that you used to like to get you sidetracked. It's a struggle but if you keep it in your mind what you really want you can fight this. One of my goals this year is to learn how to enjoy new vegetarian foods or at least experiment with foods. I would love any new recipes excluding meat but I will try seafood maybe.

While growing up on a farm in rural Wisconsin we used to eat very hardy meals of meat and potatoes, pies, cakes, cookies, but I had lots of activities to keep me thin. Then we moved to the city when I was 11 years old the weight just started creeping up due to less activity. My days living in the country found I did a lot more playing outside, running away from my brothers, and just enjoying the outdoors.

I hurt my knees a couple years back and never was treated for the injury until the summer of 2006. Because I never seen a doctor for that injury I developed arthritis in both knees. I had to get physical therapy and had an MRI done which showed that I had osteoarthritis, exercise has really been hard for me. I used to enjoy walking and now find it difficult to walk long distances. My life has really started to show it's colors these last couple years though. In 2000, I filed for divorce, and decided to go back to school with a little enticing by my brother. He said it would keep my mind off of the divorce. He was right. It made me feel good knowing that it was okay to try to better myself, and love myself too. There was a lot more stress in college but it was worth it mentally and physically; it taught me to be responsible, not to be afraid to speak in public, helped me to prioritize my goals--important one s always being first and to always keep looking forward. The lessons I have learned have been hard at times but it has made me a better person through and through. My goal is to be a better me.

William Arthur Ward

People are often unreasonable and self-centered.
Forgive them anyway.

If you are kind, people may accuse you of ulterior motives.
Be kind anyway.

If you are honest, people may cheat you.
Be honest anyway.

If you find happiness, people may be jealous.
Be happy anyway.

The good you do today may be forgotten tomorrow.
Do good anyway.

Give the world the best you have, and it may never be enough.
Give your best anyway.

For you see, in the end, it is between you and God.
It was never between you and them anyway.
--- Mother Theresa
