Hey Sparkpeople, my name is Jazz. I am a 26 year old mother of one and newlywed looking to get healthy for good this time. I have Lymphedema in my right foot/ankle/calf region and have been told by my Dr that getting back to at least my pre-pregnancy weight will help my leg to return to normal. We are looking to have a second child and I was also told by the Dr that I cannot attempt conception until I lose the weight because additional gain will worsen my condition. Hey Sparkpeople, my name is Jazz. I am a 26 year old mother of one and newlywed looking to get healthy for good this time. I have Lymphedema in my right foot/ankle/calf region and have been told by my Dr that getting back to at least my pre-pregnancy weight will help my leg to return to normal. We are looking to have a second child and I was also told by the Dr that I cannot attempt conception until I lose the weight because additional gain will worsen my condition. So it's time that I get serious once and for all about weight loss.
My Dr appointment was on June 16th 2010. I was 264 at that appointment. Since than I have lost 17 lbs and am working to lose at least 52 more to start.Once that is reached I will decide how much more I need to lose before I am ready to start maintenance. Ultimately I'd like to get to 165 which is 82 lbs from where I am currently at.
