It's time to get serious about my health. I'm looking for accountability and my wife is making me do it! So, here I go - NO MORE High BP!

Fitness Minutes: 238

My Goals:
My goal is to get my BP down so I don't lose my CDL certification.
AND to get in shape for archery hunting.


My Program:
 1. eat healthier, low sodium diet
2. get more cardio 5 x weekly
3. strength train 3 x weekly


Personal Information:
I am from Idaho. I am a local truck driver so I am home daily. I love to bowhunt and used to compete until eyesight problems ended that. I love to camp and fish too with the whole family. I've been married 24 years and I have 5 kids plus a teen cousin living with us. AND 5 of them are teenagers.

Other Information:
 Occasionally I like to read a good Ted Dekker book. But only if there is no hunting open.

    Those are some nice looking animals! Elk hunting is somewhat of a "dream hunt" for me. I'm hoping to get out there one day and give it a shot. I bet it is quite an adrenaline rush when those majestic animals are bugling around you! Great to connect with some fellow sportsmen on here.

    I am new to this team but you inspire me... I don't know if it's because of the hunting or the 5 teenagers at home! I got exhausted just at the thought! I was a complete and total city girl until I met my husband nearly 8 years ago and now I couldn't be more of a fishing/hunting redneck if I had been born into it! Last year I shot the big one (white tail) and got to watch the boys drool! I will post pics when I get more time. Good luck this season. :) Sandy

    I was just checking out your page yesterday, trying to figure out if you were still sticking with the quitting. You definitely should be through the worst of it. The rest of the pains you now have will be with you for quite a while, but as you now know - they are manageable! And, since you and your wife have been married about the same amount of time as me and mine, I assume she is willing to put up with a little attitude, as long as you aren't chewing!

    Not sure when the Idaho season starts, but we are getting ready for our deer opener on Sept. 1 right now. Bear opens August 1, so we use that season to do a lot of our scouting for the deer season.

    The hope is to bust our deer early this year, and then focus on elk! Stay in touch - and again, good job. Give it another month, and I bet it has some serious (good) effects on the BP!
