Fall 5% Challenge Exercise Commitment

30 minutes on exercise bike, at least 5 days a week

My daily checklist:
1) Weigh in
2) Morning SparkTime (blog, SparkMail)
3) Prep healthy meals
4) 10 minutes of exercise

When I thought about how I want to relate to food for the rest of my life, making rules about what I can and can't eat wasn't part of how I want to be. What I want to do is trust my body, feed it well, and eat in accordnnce with my hunger and needs, not in accordance to what some book tells me to eat. And then I had a health crisis and now I'm following a program in a book. You have to be flexible to get along in this world!

Started intuitive eating streak on 6/10/18. Diagnosed hypoglycemic 6/20/18. Started the Reversing Diabetes program from Dr. Neal Barnard on 6/22/18. Switched to McDougall MWLP (almost the same, but cuts out refined grains and limits fruit) on 7/5/18. Went 100% MWLP on 7/8/18.

Food. I am following Dr. McDougall's Maximum Weight Loss program. I will switch to his regular program once I am at a comfortable weight for me. My food log is public at

My Goals:
First behavior goal is to try to get to 100 days of intuitive eating in a row. First weight goal is 50 pounds, from 330 down to 280, but I will break it up into 5-pound bites: Every 5 pounds, I buy myself a book for my Kindle. Every 100-day streak (or 14 weeks for weekly streaks) gets me a new dress, pair of shoes, cookbook, or kitchen gadget.

Food plan: McDougall MWL (Maximum Weight Loss)
Eating plan is to eat intuitively:

1) Wait until I'm physically hungry to eat
2) When I'm physically hungry, make myself a reasonable sized meal of whatever I feel like eating
3) Eat until I'm satisfied and then stop
4) Return to step 1 and repeat
