I have been a devoted Sparker for nearly 7 years now and although I have not lost the weight I planned to I have met some amazing women along the journey.

I am blessed with wonderful children and a husband who loves me unconditionally and its about time I loved me too! It's time to get in the kind of shape that will lead to a long healthy life.

It's a process and anything worth having is worth doing well. I have started the New You boot camps and although they are in no way killer workouts, they are 8 to 10 minutes and they work your muscles and get you moving. I am also going to do 3 to 5/30 minute or longer cardio workouts in addition to the boot camp. I have all the equipment I need and now a specific goal in mind.

I hope 2015 brings everyone health and happiness. And those ladies who have been with me since 2008 (you know who you are) lets make this the year we hit our goals-next year we can talk about the road to maintaining them!!

Fitness Minutes: 7,220

My Goals:
To take baby steps to a healthier lifestyle.

To increase my water intake and work towards only 1 diet soda a week.

To lose 1 lb a week in 2015!

My Program:
To workout/walk 5 days a week for 45 minutes (can break up the 45 into 15 min. sessions)

To stretch 10 minutes a day after my workouts.

To strength train 2 x's a week for 20 minutes

Personal Information:
I am a proud Mom to two wonderful young adults 20, and 23.

I have been married for almost 24 years and am still very much in love with my husband-I'm a very lucky girl!!

Other Information:
I am a hopeless romantic and avid animal lover. We have 2 indoor cats and also my sweet Husky named Skye. My greatest achievement is my life are my children and husband, cannot imagine my life without them.

    Hi and happy weekend!

    We did not do much. San Diego is crazy with people on the 4th, so the family hung around the house. We live over the bay so we had a nice view of the fireworks emoticon .

    I've struggled this week. I made a poor choice to go out to dinner last Friday. I was so surprised that even though the rest of the day was low calorie wise, and I calculated on the high side of everything I wasn't far over my limit (300 or so). I immediately returned to the program and am nutso about following it to the letter. Nonetheless I gained FOUR pounds by Monday last week. I was able to return to my spot by weigh in day. I am just worried that I am going to stop making progress and that's where I typically bail out. On one hand I am horrified at the thought of living like this any longer and on the other hand I can't imagine working so hard and going no where. Instead of the jubulant high I felt at the beginning I am starting to feel dread.

    Anyway I just want you to know that I look for your posts because you are so upbeat and supportive of everyone. I love how you reach out unconditionally. I hope as I get more confident or sure that I can do this that I can be as great as you are. Cheers!

    Thank you so much for the great comments. I know exactly what you mean about feeling blue and being aknowledged. There are times when I just really need a pick up and I immediatly go to our team page. We have a wonderful team full of support and encouragement. You are always great to aknowledge everyone. I know at times I may miss someone from time to time.. but I do try to comment on what others are going through so they know they are not going through it alone. Too many times I have had to deal with things on my own and know how hard it is. Have a wonderful 4th and be safe and healthy!

    Hi, sorry I didn't get back to you before. I think it's awesome you're doing the c25k, and not just good luck, but HAVE FUN! Every time I do my run I get such a feeling of accomplishment, because it's hard enough that it's a challenge, but it's still doable. Saturday will be W4D3 for me, then it's off to Week 5 for 8 minute runs before going to the dreaded - "run 20 minutes" or whatever killer instruction that is... OMG. ;)

    It looks like I'm finally getting down nearly a pound a week, and I really think it's because of adding the running. All that jiggling or something.

    Let me know how it goes! I'm adding you as a friend, too...

    Thank you so much for your support emoticon . I need and appreciate your kindness! I am working hard to shed the dark cloud. Characteristic to my awful coping style is that I am perseverating on the fact that the four pounds or a portion of them will still be on the scale at my weekly weigh in emoticon . I am trying to psych myself up so I don't get more down if that happens. So far so good. Support like this is keeping me on track. I have not been off track since the Friday night outing emoticon .
