I hate describing myself, I never know what to say. I'm sort of a pseudo-hippie, trying to find a balance between living a life of peace and and keeping myself from being trampled on.

I've been a Spark member before but I fell away and had to create a new account because I couldn't remember the password to my old one (oops!). It's just as well because that was so many years ago I'm a whole new me.

My weight journey: My highest (known) weight was 323 lbs. This was in 2008 (I know because I was dieting for my wedding). I'm not a yo-yo dieter exactly because I'm good at not gaining weight back. I'm not good at losing it. Over the years I have lost 5 lbs here and there through hard work and then fallen away because the work was hard and the progress was minimal. In August 2018 I was able to attain a major accomplishment of seeing a number less than 300 lbs! I had been hovering in the 305 range for a couple of years so that felt amazing! I am now comfortably below that at 287 lbs (Feb. 2019) and hope to fall under 250 by the end of the year.

My Goals:
Same as most here: lose weight, learn to maintain healthier habits, take care of myself better.

My primary goal is to find the sweet spot between living a healthy lifestyle and enjoying every day of my life!

New goal: Foot to Head Dancer's Pose (it's ambitious but I'm enjoying every minute of working towards it!)

My Program:
My program is loose, mostly focused on creating calorie deficit and creating a habit of making healthier choices one by one. I am NOT a proponent of overly-rigid restriction as this does not fit my life right now. I want to eat the things I love in moderation. As stated above, I want to find a balance between physically taking care of myself and enjoying every day of my life.

    It’s cold outside, but Spring is coming! Are you ready to join a Challenge? The Biggest Loser Challenge is looking for members for it’s next Challenge starting the first week of March. The challenge consists of 11 Teams, that participate in 10 weeks of Nutritional and Fitness Challenges. These challenges can be modified to fit individual needs, allowing members of all abilities and dietary needs to participate.
