*nods* They say Rome wasn't built in a day, so neither does it take one day for our bodies to get into good form. It's very awesome you're taking charge of your body at this age --- if I had eons ago --- I wouldn't have had a regain of the weight I had for so many years before I lost it the first time (in college). So, I give you kudos for really working to change your life and body for the better Jackie.

Running Weight really sounds like something I need to pick up - since I'm getting all sorts of junk advice from people (none of the Road Runner folks!) here on SP who don't do any sort of highly vigorous aerobics, let alone endurance events. They keep telling me to cut carbs, and I'm just like, "For real? How am I supposed to run X number of miles later today and survive?" Obviously there are carbs that are better than others (as I get the impression the book specifies), but cutting carbs a lot? Probably NOT a good idea!!

Oh, very nice. So you have a copy to mark up and make your own then! I'm going to see if our library has a copy (or can get one via ILL) - otherwise, it'll go on the massive list of books I want to purchase! :) But keep posting about stuff you learn in there - it's really nice to hear somebody like yourself find really good information that is practical and useful for doing more endurance work (not that I'm an endurance gal like you - but I would love to be someday!). emoticon

NROL4W is going really well... When I actually motivate myself to get it done lol! I'll be starting stage 4 this week. I might add a couple weeks to stage 4 and then take a week or so off around the marathon to "rest" before I start stage 5. I am determined to get through all the stages =)

I really lik e living in the city.

In addition to Anthropologie, we also have a Trader Joes, Whole Foods, Banana Republic, Williams Sanoma, Gap, Apple and a new Performance Bike store all within 2 miles. Plus at least a dozen coffee shops (including 4 Starbucks) within that same walking distance.

No problem! Sorry you've been so frustrated by the scale. Thanks for adding me!
