Introduction Text Keep your eyes on the prize!

I reached goal after about 13 months on SparkPeople, and have been on maintenance for a year. My goal is to praise God every day for my success and to continue to maintain and stay healthy.

I am TRACKING calories and exercise every day...for the rest of my life (or as long as I am able). I got a dog two months ago, so most of my walking is done outdoors these days...we walk pretty religiously, regardless of the weather.

I am from KY, the Bluegrass State.  I am 57 and a grandmother of one miraculous and wonderful 5-yr. old boy.  I have had problems with being overweight all my life and did a lot of yo-yoing with my weight in past years...losing and then gaining the same pounds over and over.  I want to be the very best grandmother I can be, so I want to be physically able to keep up with a 5-yr. old and an active, mischievious dog.

I am a teachers' aide in an elementary school.  I am a Christian and I am also working toward better Bible study and devotional habits.
