It's painful to come back to my page and see how successful I had been. 2 years has past and I have fallen back into terrible habits and all of my accomplishments have been overshadowed by gaining all the weight back. I have to admit.....I quit. I quit following the things I learned here. I quit making good food choices. I quit running and exercising. I quit being successful in controlling my life.

Now that I've come to terms with that, it's time to make a change again. I am taking a different approach this time. I'm not starting over for a weight loss competition, I'm simply trying to get back to eating better, exercising, and enjoying life again.

Part of me wants to erase my past accomplishments but I've decided to leave them below to remind myself of what I'm capable of.

My Goals:
I want to return to my better eating habits again and show that I can once again lose the weight and enjoy life.

I'm going at this again with the help of my wife. We both want to end this spiral of bad habits and return to being happier and healthier.

VA Beach Rock 'n Roll Half Marathon

My Program:
Eating 5 balanced meals each day. I intend to eliminate the fast food trips simply because they are an easy solution. That's just an excuse. Limiting alcohol as much as possible. I will treat myself but I need to stay focused.

I am a C25K Grad and a 1/2 Marathon finisher. I intend to walk with my family as often as I can and sprinkle in a few runs when I can.
I never got into a routine with my strength training but I want to be better at this. I'm shooting for 3 times a week.

Personal Information:
I live in Stephens City, VA which is a small town west of DC (80 miles). I've been married since 2004 and have two daughters. My wife (DAPHILLI1) and I need to make changes again are still focused on losing this weight and we are happy about the new choices we have made for ourselves.

    You have a beautiful day for your run. I'll be checking to see how you do. Enjoy your stay in Va. Beach. I lived in the area for 27 years before moving about 25 miles away. I haven't been to the boardwalk area in a long time.

    I'm in corral 23... I estimated my finish to be 2:45, but I'm going to really try to hang close to that 2:30 pace sign if I can. I've been averaging 12 min/mile on my long runs, but I'm hoping to shave a little bit of time. Since it's my first one, I have no idea what to expect really. I'm sooooo anxious!! I know I've trained well, but still! EEK!
    Earl is for sure worrisome! It sounds like it's going to be out of the area by Sunday though. LET's HOPE!! We're heading down Friday.
