Over the last 25 years I have lost over 250 pounds and found them all again and then some. I have done it all from low low low calories, weight watchers, nutrisystem, jenny craig -- been successful until I had to do it alone. This time I am depending on me alone to live this lifestyle now until I lose my excess weight and maintaining that good healthy weight.

My Goals:
I am not going to look at the long range any more. I decided that I was happy with my 30 pound loss last year and will be more than happy to lose my second 30 this year and my final 30 in 2008. My mantra is slowly but surely -- I don't want to be discouraged and my weight loss may be slow but its a constant.

My Program:
I have lowered my calorie intake to 1800 I would like to go down to 1600 but right now I am happy at 1800 and losing (slowly). When everything cooperates I like to do 30 minutes of exercise at least 3-4 times a week - walking is my favourite form of exercise. I only weigh in once a month (last friday), I don''t own scales so I use the ones here at work.

Personal Information:
My name is Joanne -- I live in the suburbs of Vancouver. I love it truly the most beautiful place on earth. I met and married my husband when I was a size 10 when I had my one and only child I gained weight and every time I take it off I find what I lost plus 10 more. My calculation is that I have lost over 250 pounds on programs. In 1996 my husband became severely depressed I fed my lonliness and angst with anything and everything I could find to eat. He passed away early in 2001 and I had no desire to lose -- I just wanted to remain the way I was. In 2003 I joined Jenny Craig (yet again) and lost 45 pounds I needed to lose about 45 more but I quit. I found love again and decided to do it on my own --- well I did it alright I found 40 of the 45 pounds I lost!!! So here I am for the first time in my life watching my calories -- making sure my food intake is healthy -- I am counting everything that I eat and so far on my five weigh in''s I have lost 30 pounds. YAY!!!
