I Aim For Progress, Not Perfection!
Back in Motion:

I am so happy to be back in "motion" with my weight loss goals! I am happy to report that I recently had my second son in Nov 2010. I have two adorable little boys now; what more can someone ask for, BUT on the flip side, I did not want ALL this baby weight! I have two adorable little boys now; what more can someone ask for, BUT on the flip side, I did not want ALL this baby weight! Now, my determination is to lose all of the remainding baby weight, and what I set out to lose initially. I was able to lose the weight that I gained with my 3 yr old, so hopefully I can muster up the same strength and motivation this time around. I am giving myself the same amount of time it took to gain this weight, which was 9 month of "BABY LOVE", to lose it ALL! I know I can do it, I have the "will power" and the "know how" since joining Spark People in 2008.
Two quotes that I plan to keep in mind for this year are: "Every second, minute, or hour you do nothing, is time wasted" and "Time waits for no one, so manage your time wisely".

Shifting gears:
4/5/10
I recently found out that I am expecting again. I am currently 9wks pregnant with my third pregnancy. I've had 1 successful pregnancy in 2007, and this past Nov 2009 I had a mis-miscarriage. I was 10wk's pregnant, @ that time, and found out that I would need a D/C to discard the pregnancy. At the beginning of that pregnancy, I was on track with my weight, even though I still needed to lose another 20lbs (I felt I was heading in the right direction). However, during that stressful time, I mananged to gain all the weight back that I work so hard to put off. Now, with my third pregnancy, I am already starting over my pre-pregnancy weight with my first pregnancy. It's depressing!!**sigh** Well, I am making a commitment with myself, from this day forth, to eat healthy, exercise regularly, log my food daily; sleep @ least 6-7 hrs a night (anything beyond that is impossible with a 2yr old) and do my all to be pregnant and fit for myself and my new bundle.
I was told by my nurse practitioner that 21OO calories/day and exercise is beneficial for a healthy pregnancy. I was also told that it's "OK" for me to gain only 15lbs b/c I am already overweight; and seeing my pregnancy history of gestational diabetes, and preclampsia( two weeks b/f delivery); it would be in my best interest to only gain 15lbs. With my first pregnancy with, Mason, I gained a Whooping 50lbs!!! I am not planning on getting that big again. So everyone, wish me well on my new PREGNANCY journey!!!
I am in this challenge hoping to lose BIG, and keep it off for good! Hopefully my journey through weight lose will one day inspire someone just like I was inspired by others on this site. I look forward to being healthy, being able to say "That was me then, but look at me now!
