Introduction Text Hmmm.... where to begin... I've tried all my life to be fit & enjoy my life to the fullest. I've had a lot of great laughs, great friends & have a wonderful family. My struggle is with weight. Though I've always been active, starting out as a real tomboy when I was young... there wasn't a tree too high to climb... I've always had a weight problem. I've never known what it was like to be "skinny" except when I was pre-puberty & didn't care about such things. I've matured a lot in my concept of what a healthy body is. I'm a pro when it comes to the knowledge. What I lack is the commitment. Well, I'm changing that... This is my commitment. It starts here, today, with this page....

Hoping to lose at least 25 lbs, but mostly want to eat healthy & to be fit.

I love to run & swim. I don't mind biking, but I find it difficult to get out on my bike like I should. My training involves marathon training - I completed my 1st full marathon in June 2006. I also participate in a local triathlon once a year. I am still on a mission to fix my eating habits.

I live in NW Ontario, Canada. I was married for almost 31 yrs until losing my husband to cancer in June 2008. I have 1 son, 1 daughter, 1 grandson, 1 granddaughter & 2 dogs. (Updated Feb/09)

I also enjoy golfing & curling, depending on season, of course.
