A NEW SPARK--EDITED May 3, 2020.

Hi, I'm Jen, (or Jeanette) from Charlotte, NC. I joined Sparks in June 2008 and have enjoyed the journey BUT IT'S TIME FOR A NEW BEGINNING--12 YEARS AND LOTS OF CHANGES LATER.

And now it's MAY 3, 2020-- Spring of 2020 . I have lost about 50 lbs. since I first joined Sparks, and that makes me very happy. So, I'll continue my current programs of eating and exercise. I DO have a few physical issues developed since last challenge, BUT same old me.

It's the beginning of May 2020 and I'm ready to be all I can be and I'm convinced that the SPARK TEAMS are the way to get there. I NEED this team and so do you--THIS PROGRAM has given me the tools I need to lose about 50 lbs so far and I still have a few to go....so WE ARE WORKING TOGETHER TO HIT MY GOALS.

AUG. 2018--several issues have developed recently so I will need to slow down a lot. Will cut back but never give up on Sparks.

My new mantra is NEV ER QUIT even when the going gets rough, and the road gets bumpy---When I find a good 'thing' I will hang in there until I reach my goal. However long that takes.

I AM DETERMINED TO DO WELL.
So-(-I have succeeded in losing all of the weight I want to lose.) and will continue to exercise for health.

I AM WOMAN--
AND--I will win this course of life.

I am going back to basics--sparing you a long list--
BUT my list will include:
Trying new and innovative diet changes
A GOOD ATTITUDE ABOUT ALL TEAM EFFORTS

NEW START-AGAIN (I WILL START OVER UNTIL I AM AT "GOAL")
5% Challenge-fitness goals: RENEWING GOALS: Feb/ 2019
1. walk daily and increase steps daily
2. ex. at home
My primary goal is to become as healthy as I can be so that I will live long enough to see my GREAT. and--grand --children grow up. Family is extremely important to me and I am convinced that Grandmom is important to family, so, I MUST have a healthy body which means lower BMI --

So, Goal #1 - lower BMI to normal
2. Weight to normal for my height --DONE
3. Have better health, BP,cholesterol


My Program:
With the help of God I will meet my goals by healthy eating and daily exercise.

ABSOLUTELY NO ADDED SUGAR - GOAL TO BE MET NOW--STOP PUTTING IT OFF -DONE
LOW SALT.
LOW FAT.

Personal Information:
I am an open book so everything about me is open to you.
I am a lady from North Carolina, lived in MD until 1994, then moved to PA until 2007 when we moved to NC. Have 1daughters in her 50s (oldest DD went to Heaven this past summer, after suffering with cancer for 10 years, she quietly closed her eyes in hospice and entered God's presence), and 1 son in his 50's.
Grands are 37 , 33, 30, 22 and 9 , plus 3 new great grands 6, 4 and 1

I am Loving life but wanting to see 'less of me' in my body.
Have lost 90 lbs as of 2/6/19, now at 165, and hope to be down to 155 soon.


Other Information:
My favorite book would be the Bible since I read it daily. It is my strength in times of weakness.

    Good morning. An update on Sharon. After additional scraping and draining on
    her knee and allowing a couple of days for her knee to rest, she was finally able
    to put some weight on it and walk a little. She's still exhausted from her four hours
    of dialysis three times a week but she's happy about her progress and we're all
    very grateful and appreciative for keeping her in your prayers and the outpouring
    of support and love. Have a blessed weekend my friend. Love and lots of hugs.❤️
