I am a mother of a 15 year old boy. I have been overweight for 13 years now. Gaining a little every year and now looking at myself in the mirror and not knowing who I see. My father who is 51 just got diagnosed with diabetes, fatty liver, and beginning stages of congestive heart failure. Doctors pretty much telling him either lose weight or you will die. Now that I am in my 30's I am now taking a good look at myself and thinking that could be me one day soon. So today I am taking the first step to a better healthier life. A friend told me about this website and how she lost 30lbs already. I am very excited and ready to really stick with this and reach my goals.... UPDATE...... I have now been on sparkpeople for a month I love the results already. My favorite part is being part of the DONE girl team!!! They are so motivational. I am so DONE DONE DONE being the fat girl!!!!!!... UPDATE... I stopped sparking for for a little over a year and haven't dropped any weight, luckily I haven't gained any back either. I am here again in 2011 trying to shed off the remainder of the weight and reach my goal!!! Spark helps keep me motivated and keeps me on the right path so glad I am back!!!

My Goals:
I have a lot of goals but starting with mini goals and working by way up. My first goal is to be down 30lbs by the new year. My long term goal is to be down 90lbs in a year. I want to feel better in the morning. I want to have more energy. I want to have a program that I can stick to forever!!!!!!

My Program:
Sticking to the calorie intake set by the spark team, by logging everything that touches my mouth. I am drinking 8 glasses of water a day, and trying to eat more veggies!!!! Completely took soda out of my diet. I enjoy all the foods I love but just finding out the portions have to be way smaller to stay in your calories for the day. Right now I workout for 1 hour a day Monday-thru Friday. Alternating between eliptical, treadmill and Wii fit boxing.I try to at least walk for 30 minutes on Sat. and Sunday. Do about 5 minutes a day on ST.

    Thank you so much for thinking of me. I am so sad my Dad is gone. There are many things I would do differently. I wish I could go back in time. I know he is in a better place now but I miss him. It's a great lesson for not waiting until tomorrow because you don't know if there will be a tomorrow. I intend to start living the best life I know how to as I know he will be watching over me. Your kindness has meant so much to me.

    Let's get those next 20lbs off!!!! How did you do yesterday? Did you stay away from the sweet treats? I definitely did! I made sure that people knew not to have sweets around me LOL I really want to be at goal weight by my Birthday (July) So I know I can do it...... I have exactly 155 days in order to do this NO EXCUSES!!!! I want a bikini body. Hmmmmm maybe I should make it an even 100 days so I have 55 days to enjoy my rocking body before my Birthday LOL emoticon Are you excited to see my abs? I know I am emoticon
