Prior to 2013 my top weight was 267, I felt awful. My youngest son graduated from college in May of 2012. I felt awful being so heavy at his graduation. So I made up my mind to loose over 100 pounds. I cut everything I ate in half. I found that to be my weight lose sweet spot. It worked great until I lost my job and began the horrible cycle of gaining back 30 pounds to the 120 I had lost.

I am now ready to take part in mindful eating and getting back to what worked for me. Tracking my food and staying within the recommended range of 1200 - 1500 calories. I am staying at the 1200 calorie level as I feel best at that number.

I need to visualize my goals. One of which is getting back into my American Eagle Skinny Jeans. I have hang a pair of those jeans in my kitchen for motivation. Today my husband wanted to get a fast food combo meal and wanted me to go with him. I ordered a kids meal with a plain hamburger and apple slices instead of french fries. I felt satisfied and full. Whenever we do got out to eat I will ask the waiter or waitress to pack up half my meal before bringing it to the table. It is economical, two meals for the price of one. You cannot eat what is not on your plate. Resturant portions are huge. I do like the fact that if I go to IHOP I can order a meal geared to people over 50.

I wish all who are on this journey to the best. We can and will be successful.
