Hey hey hey! Having a great weekend, really busy, stayed within calorie range today and while I wasn't extremely active I did walk for several hours as well as help out in a food booth the Del Grossos harvest fest, which was loads of fun! Then did a little shopping after a really healthy lunch/supper! Am pleased to hear that you had such a great walk today! And washing your vehicles is awesome! I always am wore out completely when I do that. Don't fret totally over the steeler tail gate party, maybe take something totally yum that's really healthy too? What's typically on the menu maybe I'd have a few ideas for you?? Have you ever tried 99% fat free ground turkey as a hamburger? Honestly I LOVE them, you have to season them so they aren't boring, but once you do that they are really yum! I add low sodium soy sauce, a splash of hot sauce, some garlic and some mrs. dash garlic and herb seasoning. 1 Pound makes 4 1/4 pound burgers and they are really good. Weight watchers now makes a really yummy wheat burger bun, it's like a kaiser type roll and they are wonderful! Just a few suggestions to help you realize you can still eat fun stuff just a little differently. It's great talking to you and I hope that we can both stay on track and get this weight off! My goal right now is 25 pounds by Christmas, that's just under 3 months and I believe doable if I can get on track and stay on track. Then I would love to lose another 10 before hubby and I go to Mexico late January. Right now I'm working on that first 10 and going from there!!!! hope to hear from you soon! 4948 days ago

Well I am SO glad to hear you sounding a little more positive! Believe me I know about the self loathing when you trip up and eat something you shouldn't. Here's the deal, this is real work and it is hard work, but it is work that's well worth it. So in the mean time you are going to have to say no to things that you love, you can have small portions of things but for me I've found that it's just easier to say no. As for drinking, here's what I was told when I first started my journey and it has stuck hard. Don't drink your calories. That is something that has really stuck with me. Since our calories are limited and drinks are honestly empty calories. That said, sure I know it's a very social thing so on evenings you know it's inevitable for you to have a few drinks make sure that you've alloted the calories for it. In the mean time work on making better choices, grilled, never fried, wheat or whole grain instead of white, salads are fantastic, my favorite is mcdonald's grilled chicken bacon ranch but instead of ranch dressing I use 1/2 a container of their buffalo sauce, it's wonderful! Gives it that great kick of buffalo wings without all the bad parts! It's awesome and very filling. Another trick that helps me to stay full is eating soup. There are some fantastic ones out there now that are full of flavor (which to me if it doesn't have flavor what's the point) Progresso has some new ones out that are 120 calories per can, yes the entire can! It's great. Those are some of my favorite tricks, that and water water water and gum lol keeps your mouth busy and feeling fresh! Which helps stave off hunger. We are doing this girlfriend! Let's go! 4950 days ago

Happy Monday to you!!! Thank you for the sweet note! It's fun hearing from you! I had a rough weekend too. I didn't do as bad as I thought I did when I started entering but way far from the earlier part of the week. I'm hoping to be able to pull off a loss by being completely diligent Monday through weigh in Friday, sigh, I have got to get a grip on weekends!!! There wasn't even anything going on I just let down my guard, sigh sigh sigh!!! As for you anniversary dinner tonight, enjoy, just don't feel the need to eat everything on your plate even though I know how good it will taste! Everything in moderation and I know you can do this!!!! Enjoy and Happy Anniversary! 4954 days ago

I'm so glad you're back and that you haven't given up. It is hard, believe me I know and I understand, I had every intention of getting busy getting the weight off this summer but it seemed like I would do well for 3-4 days and then some family dinner, reunion or party would pop up and I lost control. So you are far from being alone in this!!! WE can do this! It's simply a matter of getting it done!!!!!!!!! 4959 days ago
