Thanks for the comment on our little "girl", Abbie. We think she is adorable too. She has been the best dog we either one have ever had and between us we have had quite a few and some exceptional ones, but Abbie is almost human. I think her vocabulary is more like a child's - she knows so many words. Right now she is curled up on her daddy's lap and they are both fast asleep. She has always been laid back. We had her housebroken in just a few days and she has never had another accident since the 1st week we got her at 4 mo. Everyone told us a shih-tzu was hard to train but she is soooo smart. Loves her people though except she isn't too fond of kids - at first - but we aren't around our grandkids and great grandkids except once a year so she isn't exposed that much. However, after 30 min, she thinks she is one of the kids. Our son takes the kids riding in a cart behind the lawn tractor and Abbie is right in the middle of them! We can't imagine life without her and would have another one in a heartbeat. Taking and sharing her with patients in nusing homes and the hospital has been a blessing to us not just to the patients.
I hope someday you will get to have a little bundle of furry love too to enjoy.
PS She is better than a child-doesn't talk back (at least not too much), never asks to borrow the car or money, and loves you no matter what.

That's great! Keep it up. I saw a quote up on a white board yesterday that said "if you think it can't be done get out of the way of the people that are doing it." I liked it. It made me think am I going to be a "can't be done" person or a "doing it" person. I think I'd rather be a "doing it" person and you are definetly a "doing it" person.

    Anything is Possible
    By Unknown

If there was ever a time to dare, to make a difference, to embark on something worth doing, IT IS NOW.
Not for any grand cause, necessarily...
but for something that tugs at your heart, something that's your inspiration, something that's your dream.
You owe it to yourself to make your days here count.

Know, though, that things worth doing seldom come easy.
    There will be good days.
And there will be bad days.
There will be times when you want to turn around, pack it up, and call it quits.
Those times tell you that you are pushing yourself, that you are not afraid to learn by trying.

Because with an idea, determination, and the right tools, you can do great things.
Let your instincts, your intellect, and your heart, guide you.

Believe in the incredible power of the human mind.
Of doing something that makes a difference.
    Of working hard.
    Of laughing and hoping.
    Of lazy afternoons.
    Of lasting friends.
Of all the things that will cross your path this year.
The start of something new brings the hope of something great, ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE.
