I've been a SparkPeople member since August 7, 2012. I did great the first 8 months and lost 60 pounds. Then life got hectic, I stopped exercising and eating right, and I gained back all the weight I had lost, plus 20 lbs.
This past fall, I realized I wasn't being successful on my own and needed help. I decided to visit a medical doctor who specialized in weight loss and health. I've been going to Rainier Medical to see Dr. Valerie Sutherland since October 2016 and am now following a very low calorie, low carbohydrate diet. As of Jan. 20, 2017, I've lost 55 pounds and am feeling great. I still have 80 pounds to go.
I've restarted SparkPeople to track my exercise and water consumption. I will also appreciate the recipes and food tracking once I move to the maintenance phase of my plan. For now, I'm using the meal replacements I purchase from Rainier Medical for 3 of my 4 daily meals.
